Gaza Support Network
People to People

Gaza Support Network (GSN) is a grassroots, people-powered initiative responding directly to the urgent humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Initiated by Jewish and Israeli women, the Gaza Support Network (GSN) is grassroots, people-powered, all volunteer initiative responding directly to the urgent humanitarian crisis in Gaza. While the destruction will take years to rehabilitate, we offer families and communities sustainable envelopes of support, through monthly assistance as well as ad-hoc assistance according to need.
With thousands of monthly donors, we currently run support networks for 60 families in Gaza, as well as several community initiatives, an orphan network and Al Anwar displacement camp, which is inhabited by more than 1,250 people.
For most residents in Gaza, daily life is a continuous struggle to attain the most basic of needs: enough food, basic shelter, warm clothes, medical supplies. Many of the families that we support are living in dilapidated tents, suffering from the vagaries of weather, with no source of income.
Our intervention makes a tangible difference in people’s lives now. Being part of GSN is being part of a community of people who have decided to be consciously engaged, ensuring that everyone in this land can live in dignity and safety.
A few words from the heart:
Since its beginning in May 2025 then, the initiative has been unfolding and growing step by step, like so many other things these days, through trial, error, and good intentions. It covers a lot of new territory for everyone involved, emotionally, relationally, and existentially, but we believe our pain, shame, and helplessness is allowing a new kind of wisdom to emerge.
Thank you for your openness and willingness to take part. For your trust and for hoping.
At GSN we cultivate networks of care and solidarity by:
-
Building people-to-people and community-to-community relationships.
-
Providing financial, emotional and material support to families and communities.
-
Coordinating ‘the last mile’ services by connecting established aid organizations with families, community initiatives, orphan networks, camps for displaced people.

Family Support Networks - How do they work?
1. Families in Gaza approach GSN and are screened to ensure support is offered only to those genuinely in need.
2. Volunteers receive coordinator training and are matched with a family in Gaza.
3. Coordinators create a new network, raising funds from their circles (friends, family, community).
4. Funds are transferred monthly directly to the family, either by the coordinator or through GSN’s bank account.
5. Members of the network are invited to participate in the larger network activities.

A few words from the heart
This initiative rolled out in May 2025. Since then, it has been unfolding and growing step by step, like so many other things these days, through trial, error, and good intentions. It covers a lot of new territory for everyone involved, emotionally, relationally, and existentially, but we believe our pain, shame, and helplessness is allowing a new kind of wisdom to emerge.
Thank you for your openness and willingness to take part. For your trust. For listening. For hoping. For being here. We pray that the connections formed here will help us create a new reality – one in which we can all thrive and rest.
